Katie Lambert helped my sister and I with a very difficult task on many levels - sell our Dad's house after he was moved into Assisted Living due to cognitive decline. My husband and I were living in the home at the time and after two years of caregiving and the painful chore of purging my dad's things (while he was still here and unbeknownst to him), I was weary and tired. My senior father was needing more support, and with safety in mind, he transitioned to an independent and assisted living community. The move became necessary as his cognitive decline and memory issues made it harder for him to safely manage on his own. It was an emotional transition for everyone involved, as the home he was leaving behind was one he had lived in for over 20 years.
